Dear Discovery students,

The class start date is Monday, March 30, 2020.
To maintain F-1 status, international students are required to create a "Zoom" account and attend this live class during this temporary transition to online instruction.

Please don’t forget to install the “Remind” app on your smartphone to receive details about your online class schedule.

<<Part 1. How to Join Online Classes>>

OPTION 1. Join your class on your PC.

[Create an account]
Go to the Zoom website (www.Zoom.us) and sign up (create a free account).
Zoom will send you an activation email. Open this email and click “Activation.”
Finish the sign-up process by creating your new password.

[Join your class]
Log in using your email address and password.
Click on the “Join Meeting” tab.
Enter the 10 digit meeting ID and your name. Ask our staff for the meeting ID. Do not use a nick name.
Enjoy your class.
 
OPTION 2. Join your class on your phone (smartphone)

[Create an account]
From App Store (iPhone) or Play Store (Android), download and install “ZOOM Cloud Meetings"
Sign up (create a free account) using your email address
Zoom will send you an activation email. Open this email and click “Activation.”
Finish the sign-up process by creating your new password.

[Join your class]
Run the “Zoom” app.
Tab on “Join.”
Enter the 10 digit meeting and your name. Ask our staff for the meeting ID. Do not use a nick name.
Enjoy your class.


<<Part 2. How to Get Schedule Reminders from School>>
On your smartphone, go to App Store (iPhone) or Play Store (Android).
Find and download the “Remind” app.
Create a free account “as a student.”
Once you finish the sign up process, go to the main screen and tab on “Join a class.”
Enter your class code (@_______) as shown below:
Enter eve200 if you take IEP200 (Beginning) class,
Enter int300 if you take IEP300 (intermediate) class, OR
Enter int400 if you take IEP400 (high intermediate) class.
